With a history dating back to the 1860s, O'Malley's stands on one of Kings Cross' most historic sites. Originally home to Keary's Woolloomooloo Hotel, the venue has witnessed generations of Sydney life, from the election speeches of Australia's first Prime Minister, Edmund Barton, to the colourful characters, entrepreneurs, and infamous gangs that shaped the era of Razorhurst.
As Kings Cross evolved from a bustling port-side neighbourhood into one of Sydney's most iconic entertainment precincts, the venue remained a gathering place for locals, visitors, and storytellers alike.
Today, O'Malley's continues that tradition. Combining old-world charm with modern Irish hospitality, we're known for pouring Sydney's best Guinness, hosting live music, trad sessions, karaoke, and creating the kind of atmosphere where strangers become friends and friends become regulars.
